The Lady Vikings' high school volleyball teams concluded the regular season on the road at Pembroke Hill on Thursday, October 23. Neither the varsity squad nor the JV squad found success against the Lady Raiders.


Pembroke Hill defeated Midway 25-12 and 25-15 in the varsity match.


Bree Renner had 6 kills and 1 block vs. the Lady Raiders. Teresa Zielinski had 1 kill and 3 blocks. Shannon Carver had 1 block.


Haley Hastie had 7 digs and 1 assist. Katie Chouinard had 3 digs and 6 assists. Teresa Zielinski had 3 digs and 1 service ace. Shelby Garrigus had 2 digs. Shannon Carver had 1 dig and 1 service ace. Janae Semsch had 1 dig, and Bree Renner served 1 ace.


Pembroke Hill defeated the JV Lady Vikings 25-16 and 25-13.


Jennifer Gorsage had 2 kills for the JV Lady Vikes. Tesa Renner had 2 kills, 1 service ace, and 3 assists. Hannah Mills had 1 kill, 1 service ace, and 1 dig.


Breann Barnes had 1 kill, 1 assist, and 2 digs. Alyson Chapman had 1 service ace, 1 assist, and 1 dig. Cathleen DeRemer had 1 dig.


The MSHSAA Class 1 District 14 Tournament will be held at Cass Midway October 27 and October 29.


Ballard and Heartland open the district tournament on October 27 with a 4:30 PM match. Drexel faces Miami at 5:30 PM. Midway will face the winner of the Ballard/Heartland match at 6:30 PM. Archie will face the Drexel/Miami winner at 7:30PM. (Times are approximate following the opening match.)


The district championship match is set for 6:30 PM on Wednesday, October 29.
